All motherboards will accept separate video cards, and in some cases also have integrated/built-in video. For gaming, video editing or other demanding applications we recommend a high-performance CPU cooler with larger fan and copper core or heat-pipe design. If your new computer will be used mainly for web browsing, email and office applications then a smaller, aluminum heat sink or low-noise cooler should be adequate.

Our pretest / setup option is different. With this option the CPU and fan/heat sink are professionally installed and tested before shipping. All jumpers and motherboard BIOS settings are set and verified during this process. CPU temperature and fan speed are monitored to verify proper installation and cooling. At this point your components are placed into special packaging designed to allow the motherboard to be shipped with CPU and fan still attached and ready for installation. The Barebones Install options shown below include a case, power supply and installation and configuration of all components.
