Liquid thermal compound helps transfer heat away from your CPU into the base of the CPU cooler.
Thermal compound is applied between the CPU and fan/heat sink base to fill any tiny gaps where the two surfaces come together, allowing for efficient transfer of heat away from your CPU. The power supply distributes power to the internal components of a computer system.
If your power supply is more than 2 years old, you may want to consider replacing it with a newer that meets the power requirements of newer CPU's and video cards. Dual core CPU's and high-end video cards have additional power requirements, a minimum of 600 watts is recommended. For single core and entry level CPU's, 450 – 550 watts is adequate.

Separate video cards provide a huge performance advantage over integrated video. Even the most basic PCI Express video card attached to your system will enhance the graphics capabilities of your computer. Separate video cards remove the task of graphics processing from the main system CPU, provide separate dedicated memory for graphics tasks, and allows for special shading effects.

All the video cards below are the new PCIe X16 (PCI Express X16) video cards below. All the cards over $80 also have 2 outputs with the ability to display to 2 monitors (dual display) or to a TV (TV out). Our pretest / setup option is different. With this option the CPU and fan/heat sink are professionally installed and tested before shipping. All jumpers and motherboard BIOS settings are set and verified during this process. CPU temperature and fan speed are monitored to verify proper installation and cooling. At this point your components are placed into special packaging designed to allow the motherboard to be shipped with CPU and fan still attached and ready for installation. The Barebones Install options shown below include a case, power supply and installation and configuration of all components.
